A single line from Pavan Verma’s book “The Great Indian Middle Class” deeply influenced us at Igniters:
“For all the achievements of the Indian State in the last fifty years there is, for its middle and elite classes, a crippling ideological barrenness which threatens to convert India into a vastly unethical and insensitive aggregation of wants.”
This thought reflects a harsh truth: an education focused on just grades and the results can lead to a society lacking of values, empathy, and direction.
That is why, at Igniters, we are dedicated to providing not only academic achievement, but also valued, ethical, and broad education. It is our opinion that knowledge with no ethics is incomplete—and even dangerous. Education should not only prepare kids to score well, but also to think critically, act with integrity, and speak up for what is right.
